Fall Ball Update: 10-7-14 

The AFL season is underway! This year, the Padres prospects will play for the Surprise Saguaros. The Saguaros lost to the Javelinas 5-4 in their season debut, but the Padres prospects contributed positively.

Hitters:

Mallex Smith – CF: 1-4, K

Jace Peterson – 2B: 1-4

Hunter Renfroe – RF: 2-4, 2 2B, RBI, 2 Runs scored

Pitchers:

Burch Smith – RP: 1.0 IP, 1H, 1R, 2BB

Notes: Hunter Renfroe started his AFL season with a bang; he accounted for 75% of the runs scored as he doubled twice, drove in a run, and scored 2 runs himself. Mallex Smith and Jace Peterson both singled while Burch Smith tossed an inning.
