Fall Ball Update: 11-13-13

Only two Padres prospects, Cory Spangenberg and Adys Portillo, played for the Javelinas tonight. Both players did well as Spangenberg went 2-5 with a triple and Portillo tossed a scoreless inning.

Cory Spangenberg-2B: 2-5, 3B, K, Run scored

Adys Portillo-RP: 1.0 IP, 0H, 1BB, 1K

Notes: Cory Spangenberg continued to enjoy his terrific AFL season; following tonight’s game he is hitting .313. He’s also showing nice extra base pop as he is slugging at a .500 clip while boasting an .853 OPS. Adys Portillo bounced back from his previous rough outing and tossed a scoreless inning. Portillo has struggled so far with the Javelinas as his ERA is now 8.74 over 9.1 innings pitched.
