If/When CY comes back, does he get an automatic spot back in the rotation or does he spot start.


I'd lean more towards a spot start rather than giving him an rotation spot. It seems like there would be a disruption in the chemistry since he's been gone all year long. He could put some distance between Latos starts.

I'm still not optimistic that he'll get back to full strength, but only time will tell. I just don't hope he doesn't go the way of Ashby and be eternally on the DL.

I say he and Latos interchange starts. It'll save his innings like they want to and get a figure of how CY does.

In my opinion, he should get back to starting.
He can maybe have a spot start for LeBlanc or Richard since their innings are being watched as well.
Or maybe a 6 man rotation.
His only start this year he threw 6 shut-out innings.
He also has the Padres only win in the playoffs since '98.

This is really interesting because he is ready. I am all about him getting into the rotation, but I would like to see him start in LA and NOT STL.

No reason to mess with what Luebke has going right now.
