Even though the Padres are playing well right now, lately I've noticed some of our key players are just not playing well - at all.
It hasn't been said as much, but the catchers.
At one point Yorvit was hitting .330 and .480 with RISP.
With his slump, it's gone down to .290, and .390.
I don't know whether it's because he is starting a lot more than usual or what.
As for Hundley, he was hitting - I think around .250 at one point, now he's at .237.
I guess I am extremely confident with them, but I don't know why the both of them just are not hitting well at all.
Next is Scott - I think this month alone he has put one good swing on a baseball. Sadly, it resulted in a diving play by Ryan Braun. I don't know what's wrong with him - all he does is pop up or strike out.
Lastly, Ludwick as well. He did have that double in Milwaukee the other day - but besides that he has not been producing. At one point he was hitting around .280 as a Padre - now it's at .240. I don't know if he is trying too hard or what.
If these guys get it going, this is a dangerous lineup!
