Looks like Matt Stairs signed a minor league deal with the Nationals today. I'm normally one that is fine with waiting for the right time, but I'm starting to get nervous. It seems that Players are getting more money this year than they did last off season and we could be looking at a bunch of bench guys starting on this Padres team. Best of luck to Stairs, he did his part in 2010.

I may be one of the few that was hoping for Stairs to come back. I know Jed is trying to mirror last years off season but you're correct in saying players aren't waiting around as long. Hoping Jed can make a couple moves in the near future.
