Friarhood writer Peter Friberg called me today to make me aware of an article stating Derrek Lee was signing with the Padres.

My first reaction was...B___l s___t

I don't understand why Lee would sign a one year deal to play in pitcher friendly Petco, plus he's a RHH, what would that mean for Blanks?

So my question is...do you think Derrek Lee on a one year deal would make sense for either side and how would you feel about Lee in a Padres uniform in 2011?

I did call and talk with Chris the sports editor and he said they take no responsibility for the story and that it is a random blogger posting.

My thoughts then were, dude that's kind of a big deal to throw out there. Anyway, that's all I got.
