Is this good for the team, fans, FO?

I say hell yes! Even if it is more of a joke, it helps fuel the fan fire. More and more players move around and don't have an identity with a team. Well Mat may not be able to travel around SF for a few years, but it sure gives the fans something to get excited about. Plus I'm sure this will show up at the box office.

I think it's AWESOME! Like Steve said, nowadays players don't get into the rivalries. But I like to see guys like Mat say what they feel. He really seems like he dislikes the Giants. And after last season, especially living in Northern California, So do I.

It's funny, this was brought up to Heath Bell today during his live chat on NC Times. He didn't know why Mat said that. Heath wouldn't have said that.

Me as a Padres fan, I love it. I can't stand them battery chuckers. This year is going to be unbearable at Spring Training. Half of our crew that comes out are fans of the Gigantes.

Hey, idea for a t-shirt. "I hate SF" with Latos signature underneath!

It doesn't surprise me that Heath didn't know about it, he's too busy talking about his bum calf. LOL

I actually had an idea for shirts, very similar to that, but then I envisioned a stack of shirts in my house that people can only wear for nine home games and I thought..NAH!
