Some of you may have seen that GLB is running a 0 to Tony Gwynn section. Quite funny, at least it was until people starting piling on my boy Peavy. IMO the best SP in Padres history, without question. That made me think, what is my all time Padres team?
SP - Jake Peavy
(HM - Randy Jones)
C - Benito Santiago
1B - Adrian Gonzalez
(HM - Fred McGriff)
2B - Roberto Alomar
3B - Ken Caminiti
(Although I do have a hard time putting him there, my only other serious option was Nettels)
SS - Gary Tempelton
LF - Joe Carter
CF - Tony Gwynn
RF - Dave Winfield
(HM - Greg Vaughn)
7th - Rollie Fingers
8th - Goose Gossage
9th - Trevor Hoffman
What is your all time Padres Team?

After thinking about it, maybe Magaden as Hitting coach.

Awesome post SD2. Does everyone leave Kevin Brown off the list because he wasn't here long enough or what? The dude was pretty good, no?

That is why I left him off. An all time Padre team deserves the faithful in my mind to a point. There are so many Padres you want to include, but I just can't give a guy with only 1 year played ATP status.

I would agree with most of your top picks.
The only change, and many are not going to like this, I would put Goose as my closer, Trevor setup and Fingers in the 7th.
Nothing against Trevor, but Goose was just the most lights out closer I've ever seen. I would love to see how Goose would have done playing the same time period Trevor did.
Again, nothing against Trevor. He is the all-time saves leader! What a pen that would have been!
