Is it really that farfetched to think that Jed Hoyer will decide to keep A-Gon through the trade deadline if the Padres are within a reach of a playoff spot? I know they can get alot for him but he's under contract for one more year for way less money than he's worth. I would think his value wouldn't go down that much in one year and Blanks is getting his AB's now anyway.

It would be really nice to keep gonzo but dont get your hopes up. i try to think one game at a time, when the deadline comes up thats when ill get wooried.
