I'm starting to feel that the Padres are starting to have all the right problems. Jerry Hairston Jr has to play somewhere because he has impressed early with fantastic play at second and right. That laser from right field to home in the bottom of the 9th against SF saved the game. He's only hitting .205 but he has two steals in as many attempts. If he starts hitting who would sit?

Some great plays at shortstop and in the field give the Padres a great problem to have! I am thinking we will see a lot of JHJr at many positions and almost every day. His presence gives almost every position player the chance to take a day off without losing much of anything in the line up. If this team continues to play well and stay in contention the ability to sub Hairston at so many positions will add so much depth and relieve the pressure to many of the inexperienced guys on the team.
