I usually get real excited when the Padres are on a roll like this. It usually leads to ridiculous expectations. But I must ask, Can we contend for a playoff spot THIS year?

Well if the padres can execute on the road and play very well at home then i think we have a pretty good chance at making a wild card spot if not taking the division. by the way if we take the division we would be the sleeper team of the decade hahaha. so yeah we can make the playoffs its just that we have to play buddy ball 101 and dont try anything that is out of our neck of the woods. meaning: stop swinging at bad pitches, be aggressive on the bases, pitchers who execute from the starter to the relief pitching, and playing solid defense like diving catches hot corner grabs double plays etc...

Lets just take things one day at a time.

No doubt, like everyone else, I am truly enjoying this run. There are many positives...and I can see the beginnings of a consistent winning team.

Where we go from here...Who knows?

But, I think it will be a fun journey!!

truely im not jumping ahead of myself im just saying what needs to be done to even consider contention of any spot in the playoffs.

and hell we have taken 2 out of 3 from the reds right now and almost every batter is playing well. but i would like to see how we play in flordia, the reds are kind of a joke.
