I stated my case on FH radio last week.

I think you trade Adams and keep Bell for a variety of reasons such as

Adams health issues.

Adams has never closed

Gregerson was being over used

Adams still has strong value because you control him through 2012

I also mentioned that I felt the Padres should make an effort to sign Bell through 2012 if they trade Adams which would allow the team to groom Gregerson or Italiano.

What are your thoughts??

Other than the pressure of the 9th? I think mike has been able to perform I dont see Adams making such a close game out of it like Bell does almost every single TIME! I think trade Bell (I do love him, see#itsabusiness) while his stock is up.

I'm a little afraid of trading Bell this far into the season. I wouldn't hesitate to trade anyone else in the pen if the price is right because we have some guys ready to step up. Frieri looks awesome so far! I still think Bell and Gonzo are traded in the offseason.
