Sharing is Caring

FH_Radio_XTRA_400This week the show focused on the trade deadline.  How fans feel about the moves that Padres general manager Jed Hoyer made and didn’t make.

Tom Krasovic joined the show to discuss his thoughts on the trades and what he felt the Padres would do at the signing deadline.

You can listen/download the entire show here

Topics of the day included

  • Good, Bad, and the Ugly
  • Adrian Gonzalez on his success
  • Trade Deadline
  • Jesus Guzman
  • Moving in the fences
  • The Padres payroll for 2012
  • Fan Quote of the Day

Adrian Gonzalez was on with Jim Rome last week and talked about his success this season.

“I would say most of it is just being in better hitters ball parks.  Boston and the American League east, most of our games are played in those ball parks and all those ball parks are really good to hit in.  So I think that has to do the most with anything.  When you hit a ball and it ends up being a positive result rather than a negative result, you just feel better.  As a hitter you come into your next at bat in a better mind set and that really has a lot to do with confidence  and the ability to execute game plans because you don’t get frustrated and try to do something more in the next at bat.”

I would like to know your thoughts on Gonzalez’s comments and if you feel the Padres front office should take those comments into consideration when discussing moving the fences at Petco National Park.

We had some great calls during the show, but the here is the Fan Quote of the Day:

David from Pt. Loma - "It's boring baseball" in reference to Padres baseball in Petco.

Do you think baseball at Petco is boring?  Chime in here
