Plan for recent signings:

“Kelly and Ross probably won’t see any action and if they do it will be maybe one or two innings.  (Austin Hedges) He’ll probably end up playing maybe the last week of the season.”

What is the plan for these three in regards to instructionals?

“They will go back out around the 18^th of September, and really that’s what we are trying to build them up for.”

What’s the plan with Brach?

“He’s still learning how to develop the secondary, because, I don’t want to say he has relied solely on his fastball, but It’s been a dominant fastball approach over the last couple years.  Some of the guys that we’ve called up, such as Josh Spence, Erik Hamren (are) a little more consistent with their breaking stuff.  They get swings and misses with it as well as throwing strikes with fastballs.”

Is Brach a guy we’re going to see up here before the end of the season?

"Yeah, I feel like there is a chance we see him up here."

Is it safe to say we will see Anthony Rizzo and Luis Martinez back up in September?

“Yeah, I’m sure we’ll see them back here.”
