Friarhood Voted San Diego’s Best

It may not be a World Series Championship for our Padres, but you’ll have to excuse us for being a little excited. San Diego’s Best? That’s kind of a big deal.

San Diego CityBeat, the local periodical that brings you the good news on all things San Diego, just released its results for their 2013 “Best of San Diego” reader’s poll. Each year, San Diego CityBeat asks its readers to vote on a multitude of topics to see what serves as the best option for a San Diegan seeking out something new and different. One of the categories in this year’s poll was “Best Sports Blog” and The Friarhood was named the best in all of San Diego.

This year’s “Best of San Diego” is the 11th time that CityBeat has conducted such a poll to announce their reader’s picks for “the best art, theater, and live music in San Diego.” With the Friarhood being named at the top of the sports blog list, we are certainly very excited and humbled by such an announcement.

A link to the complete list of winners can be found here, on the CityBeat online page. Be sure to look out for other articles by CityBeat to stay informed with all the great happenings in our fair city.

We would not have been able to make the list of San Diego’s Best without having a fan base of readers and Padres enthusiasts like those of you reading right now, so please accept our humble thank you for your dedicated readership. It is truly an honor to be named to such an awesome award, and we could not have done it without you.

And remember, the Friarhood never sleeps. Although the Post-Season has arrived and there isn’t a Padre to be found on the field, be sure to stay tuned to the Friarhood for all the latest player news, Arizona Fall League scores, and other announcements as they are spread throughout the congregation.

Keep the Faith, and Go Padres.
