Friars Avert Sweep, Narrowly Escaping In Wednesday’s Win.

San Diego came into Chase Field with a seven game winning streak in the Diamond backs home field. After winning five straight series and seven of their last eight, the Padres lost the three-game contest to Arizona by dropping their first two games to the Diamondbacks. The Padres bats failed to score more than two runs in each of the first two games before they scored three in the top of the first in game three, en route to a 6-5 win to avoid the sweep.

The team will fly to San Francisco tonight to play the division leading Giants in a three game series starting Friday. Below is a recap of their three game stint against the Diamondbacks that ended Thursday.
