Friars Fly Home Happy Having Avoided Sweep in Cincinnati

The Padres won the final game of the series for the eighth consecutive time on Sunday, avoiding the sweep at the hands of the Cincinnati Reds. The win also insured a successful 10-game road trip having one six games since beating the Dodgers in Petco Park on August 3rd.

This series saw the Reds scoring their final 19 runs off of home runs after they scored two in the first game. As a team they hit nine dingers over the series compared to the Padres two, a couple of solo shots by Nick Hundley and Kyle Blanks.

The win will make a happy flight home for the Friars after completing their longest trip of the year on a positive note. Below is a game by game recap of their series in Cincinnati.
