Good:

Kyle Blanks – 3-6, run, RBI (4).  In his first start in a week, Blanks made the most of it.  He also saw 35 pitches in six ABs.

Yonder Alonso – 3-5, three doubles, two runs scored, two RBI (12), BB – Now hitting .286/.344/.429 on the year.

Jesus Guzman – 1-1, run, RBI.  Huge pinch hit AB during the five run 4th inning by Guzman.

Bud Black – I thought he rolled the dice a few times and was able to cash in at the right time.  If the Padres didn’t score in the 12th things would could have gotten ugly, but Black did a great job managing the game tonight.

Bad:

Carlos Quentin – 0-5, run scored.  After four hits in his previous three games, Quentin had a rough night a rough night at the plate that saw his average dip from .235 to .205

Ugly:

Eric Stults – He just didn’t have it tonight.  4IP, 4H, 5ER, 1BB, 4K, 1 HRA, not an ideal line for a pitcher throwing at Petco National Park.
