Good, Bad, and Ugly 4/7 vs. Dodgers

good bad and uglyPadres Fall Short in Extra Innings Tonight 6-5
WP: Todd Coffey (1-0)
LP: Anthony Bass (0-1)
S: Javy Guerra (2)

The Good

Plate Discipline

  • The Padres walked 10 times tonight vs. nine strikeouts.

Firsts

Huston Street

  • In his Padre debut, Street worked a flawless ninth inning while striking out Matt Kemp to cap things off.
  • No Errors!

The Bad:

Top of the order

  • Maybin, Denorfia, and Headley were a combined 0-13 tonight.  One a positive note, the trio did walk four times and score three runs

Dustin Moseley

  • 5IP, 5H, 5ER, 4K, 2BB – Rough outing for Dustin to say the least.

The Ugly:
Dee Gordon

  • I can’t put all the blame on Hundley, but Gordon was 3-3 in steal attempts tonight.

Strikeouts

  • The Padres followed up 11 strikeouts on Friday night with another nine tonight.
