Dbacks Front Runners for Former Giants Closer Wilson

Update: John Gambadoro of Sports 620 KTAR tweets that the Dbacks are not in on Wilson.

According to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, former San Francisco Giants closer Brian Wilson has received five offers from major league clubs; four National League teams and one American League team. Nightengale considers the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Arizona Diamondbacks as “strong front runners” for the right-hander.

Giants Willing to Listen on Veterans

Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports that the Giants are willing to entertain offers for veterans such as Tim Lincecum, Hunter Pence, and Javier Lopez. Even though they would prefer to keep most of the guys they have, now in last place in the NL West, they are in a position where they must listen to any reasonable offer.

Will keep updating throughout the day as more rumors and speculation pop-up. Stay tuned.
