Padres_LogoThe Padres Rookie league team is still acquiring players via free agent signings and draft signings. Their roster will continue to be in flux as there are players added and players promoted.

During this last week:

RHP Gary Poynter was promoted from the AZL Padres to Lake Elsinore Storm.

 

Pitcher Ryan Hinson made his season debut (delayed due to injury) and lasted only 1/3 inning, giving up 4 hits and a run.

Infielder Cole Tyrell was promoted to the Eugene Emeralds.

Catcher Ross Brayton was a free agent signee from Cal Poly at 6-2,  190,  22 y/o who marked his debut going 1/5 with a run and RBI.

Other notables for the week:

P Adam Schrader- 5 IP, 4 H, 2 BB, 4 SO with a strikeout ratio 9.7/9 innings.

P Eugenio Reyes_ 5 IP, 4 H, 1 R,  1 BB, 6 SO

OF Gunnar Terhune   2/4 batting leadoff with a 2B, R and RBI. A SD native (St Augustine High)a nd Santa Barbara grad the 23 y/o  CF is a versatile defender with speed and a good basestealer. Drafted in the 50th round of this years draft.

P Mark Hardy- 6 IP, 2 H, 6 SO, it is his 3rd outing with 1 run or less in his 5 outings.

In the game pitched by Scrader,  IF Jorge Minyeti and OF Corey Adamson had 3 and 2 hits respectively, driving in 6 runs.

During the week the Padres went 2-4 and ended with an 8-12 record for the season.
