He was drafted by the Marlins originally but did not sign. He was then drafted by the White Sox and later traded to the Royals. The Royals later DFA’d Lumsden who was then claimed by the Astros.

After absolutely dominating the MWL, Trout is already leaving his mark in the CAL league. In his first 18 games Trout has accumulated 4 doubles, 2 triples, and two homers.

Watt leads the team in K’s, innings pitched, and has the best ERA among their regular starters.
Eugene Emeralds 0, Yakima Bears 8 Jablonski “Rico” Noel-CF: 1-4 Wesley Cunningham-1B: 2-4, 2 2b Connor Powers-DH: 1-2 Tommy Medica-PH/DH: 1-2 Keyvius Sampson-SP: 3.0 IP, 3 hits, 5 runs allowed, 2 ER, BB, K, 2 HR allowed Notes: Keyvius Sampson, who has really impressed so far in Eugene, gave up two homers for the second consecutive game. He also allowed 5 runs for the second consecutive game, though all of them were earned in his previous start.
AZL Padres 5, AZL A’s 2 Brian Guinn-SS: 3-5, Run scored, 2 stolen bases Donovan Tate-DH: 1-5, Run scored, 3 K’s Daniel Garce-1B: 2-4, RBI, Run scored Carlos Garcia-RF: 1-3, 2b, BB, RBI, Run scored Bryan Altman-3B: 1-2, 2b, BB, RBI Eugenio Reyes-SP: 5.0 IP, 6 hits, 2 runs allowed, 1 ER, 5 K’s Rafeal Arias-RP: 1.0 IP, 2 K’s, Save (1) Notes: Brian Guinn got off to a difficult start in Eugene and was demoted to the AZL. Since joining the AZL Padres however Guinn has found his rhythm. In 10 games Guinn has 16 hits, 3 doubles, 5 walks, and has gone 8-10 stealing bases.
