He has allowed only 7 ER in his last 5 starts while striking out 20 and walking 9. Aaron Poreda issued his 33rd walk in only 25.1 innings of work as a Beaver.

Hefner did not pick up the win in Wednesday’s contest but a no decision is better than a loss, which he had taken in three consecutive starts.

In 20 starts for Lake Elsinore Oramas has a stellar 2.85 ERA (very impressive for the CAL league) with an 88/24 K/BB ratio. Oramas is a flyball pitcher, about 6 out of every ten outs.

He also has 7 total hits in 26 at bats and 5 RBI during that stretch. It was a tough day for Tincaps pitching, each of the 3 pitchers that made an appearance allowed at least 1 run.
