Here is your Padres Daily Farm Round Up for September 4, 2010

Matt Clark goes deep for the 3rd day in a row…AND hits for the cycle.

 Portland Beavers 1, Las Vegas 51’s 9

Mike Baxter-1B: 2-4, 2b, Run scored

Jody Gerut-RF: 0-2, 2 BB

Craig Stansberry-2B: 1-2, BB, RBI

Nick Green-SS: 1-3

Simon Castro-SP: 5.1 IP, 9 hits, 6 ER, 4 BB, 4 K’s

Notes: The Beavers have 2 more games remaining in their season, both of them at Las Vegas. Their overall record stands at 57-85 in their final season in Portland.

San Antonio Missions 7, Corpus Christi Hooks 6

Logan Forsythe-2B: 2-4, 2b, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, Stolen base (17)

James Darnell-3B: 1-4, RBI

Matt Clark-1B: 4-5, 2b, 3b, HR (27), 4 RBI, 2 runs scored

Andrew Parrino-RF: 1-4, 2b

Brandon Gomes-RP: 2.0 IP, 4 K’s

Evan Scribner-RP: 1.0 IP, 1 hit, 1 ER, HR allowed, Save (15)

Notes: Matt Clark finished off a torrid week by mashing a home run for the 3rd consecutive day. The homer, which came in the 10th inning, capped off a cycle for the young Riverside Community College product. He has tallied 8 RBI in his last 5 games played.

Lake Elsinore Storm 2, High Desert Mavericks 13

Dan Robertson-CF: 1-4

Cole Figueruoa-2B: 0-3

Cody Decker-1B: 1-3, BB

Robert Lara-C: 1-3, BB

Kevin Hansen-3B: 1-4

Bo Davis-LF: 2-4, HR (4), 2 RBI

Hayden Beard-RP: 2.0 IP,1 BB, 1 K

Notes: On a very tough night for Storm pitching Beard was the only man not to allow a run. Starter Jeremy McBryde was roughed up for the 2nd straight start, he has allowed 12 ER in his last 9.0 IP.

Fort Wayne Tin Caps 3, West Michigan Whitecaps 8

Danny Payne-CF: 2-4, BB, RBI, Run scored

Jed Gyorko-DH: 1-4, 2 RBI

Jason Hagerty-C: 0-3, BB

Daniel Meeley-RF: 1-3, BB

Everett Williams-LF: 3-4, Run scored

Jonathan Galvez-SS: 1-3, BB, 2b, Run scored

Notes: In a season that finds him batting .243 overall, Everett Williams’ recent 10 game stretch gives us reason to believe he is starting to find his way. In those 10 most recent games Williams is batting .382 with 3 extra base hits, 8 RBI, and 6 walks compared to 8 strikeouts. The K/BB ratio may be the most encouraging of those statistics, as his number for the season sits at 130 K’s to 51 BB.

Eugene Emeralds 0, Salem-Keizer Volcanoes 1

Rico Noel-CF: 1-3, BB, 2 stolen bases (14)

Wesley Cunningham-1B: 1-3, BB

Tyler Stubblefield-SS: 2-3, BB, Stolen base (8)

Tommy Medica-DH: 1-4

Jorge Minyety-2B: 1-4

Mauricio Tabachnik-SP: 5.2 IP, 4 hits, 1 BB, 2 K’s

Notes: Sunday will be Eugene’s Final game of the season. Their Record currently stands at 32-43.
