OF Rymer Liriano continues his hot streak, finishing with a .307 average and 31 stolen bases. OF Luis Domoromo also finished strong with a .310 average and he has 28 stolen bases for the first half. Utility player Tyler Stubblefield has done well since joining the team, hitting .292 while playing all four infield positions and both corner outfield spots. The Mid-West All Stars included Tin Caps 3B Jake Blackwood and OF Rymer Liriano. Blackwood went 1 for 3 with 2 strikeouts and a stolen base. Liriano went 1 for 1 with 2 runs scored and stealing both second and third base when on base. The Mid-West beat the Mid-East League 8-3. The start of the second half of the season began with a series against the Lake County Captains and FW lost the first game of the series 7-3 with starter Hardy getting roughed up for 10 hits in 3.2 IP. Liriano contributed his 32nd and 33rd steals during the game but was also caught stealing for the 12th time. The roster changes for the end of the season for FW included Mykal Stokes sent to Eugene, Pitcher Andrew Werner sent to LE and OF Rico Noel reactivated from the temporary inactive list. Again, expect multiple roster changes over the next two weeks as all the minor league rosters are juggled to accommodate draft signings, promotions and other needed adjustments to the minor league ranks.
