It was a struggle, but the TinCaps endured two 2-1 games (one win, one loss) and finished with a flurry with a 9-1 victory on Thursday. Pitching continues to improve as all three starters are throwing great games. Dexter Carter pitched well enough to win on Wednesday, but received no run support. He threw his best game of the year firing 6 innging, 1 ER (1 unearned), with 7 K. In TinCap wins, Jonathan Hussey and Mike Watt both struck out more batters than innings pitched (a great minor league stat). 2b Jeudy Valdez and 1b Nathan Frieman continue to have impressive starts. Valdez had 2 doubles, a triple and HR in the series. Freiman continues to be the TinCaps RBI machine. He is now batting .377, 3 HR, 17 RBI. TinCaps hit the road for seven in Lansing and Bowling Green, Ky.
