The TinCaps evened their season series with Lansing taking 2 of 3 from the Lugnuts to start May. The final game of the series featured some yeomens work from pitcher Pedro Hernandez.
Hernandez threw three innings of shutout relief of starter Dexter Carter to earn the victory. Mike Watt continued his impressive season with a game 2 win firing 6 innings with 3 K, earning his second victory of the season. Jerry Sullivan got a no decision in game 1 but continued to throw well, going 5 innings with 5 K. Rookie OF Everett Williams has to be the player of the series, going 5-11 with 6 RBI and a HR. Next up, a three game set at Bowling Green.
