At long last the Tucson Padres have unveiled their team logo. Tucson is the Pacific Coast League’s newest team and top minor league club of the San Diego Padres. The new logo was designed by the San Diego Padres Creative Services Department and incorporates the old style Padres lettering from 1978 – 1984 with the current Padres colors. The logo has a Tucson feel with the artistic addition of the cactus and mountain, synonymous with the Old Pueblo.

“I’m thrilled with our new logo and hope the fans feel the same way,” said Tucson Padres VP & General Manager Mike Feder. “It was essential that it came across with a local look but the addition of the nostalgic Padres lettering really capped it off. We want to thank the San Diego Padres for their tremendous creativity and initiative.”

The Tucson Padres also made their new website www.TucsonPadres.com available to the public. It will let fans get even closer to their favorite new team with breaking news, scores, promotional schedules, an online shop and video highlights. A great number of website additions will take place over the next few months.

The Tucson Padres official website is being introduced in partnership with MiLB.com and Baseball Advanced Media, with local assistance being provided by Anchor Wave Internet Solutions. MiLB.com and Baseball Advanced Media oversee hundreds of team sites throughout Minor League Baseball. With this arrangement, fans will have access to live audio of Tucson Padres games, and other features like live Gameday pitch-by-pitch updates.

The Padres have also jumped on to the social media bandwagon with the initiation of Tucson Padres Facebook (facebook.com/pages/Tucson-Padres) and Twitter (twitter.com/TucsonPadres) pages. The front office will provide all press releases, newspaper articles, interviews, and updates on a regular basis.
