WILD, WEST SHOWDOWN: The Padres continue a 10-game homestand with the first of four against the Giants tonight…following the four-game set, the club will head on the road for three in Colorado (9/13-15) and four in St. Louis (9/16-19)…San Diego is in the midst of a stretch in which they play 16 straight games, 19 of 23 and 22 of their final 33 on the season against NL West opponents…so far this year San Diego is 31-28 (.525) against divisional foes…the Padres are 10-8 vs. the Diamondbacks, 4-11 vs. the Rockies, 8-7 vs. the Dodgers and 9-2 vs. the Giants.
