Good, Bad, and Ugly 4/13 vs. Dodgers

good bad and uglyPadres rally only to walk the winning run in.  Fall 9-8 to the Dodgers
WP: Kenley Jansen (2-0)
LP: Andrew Cashner (0-1)
Homeruns – SD: Chase Headley (2), Will Venable (1) LA: Matt Kemp (3)

The Good:

Chase Headley

  • 1-3 2R, 3RBI, HR (2), BB.   Headley hit a two-run homerun in the top of the ninth to tie the game at eight.  Headley now has a five game hitting streak.

Yonder Alonso

  • 2-5 two doubles, R, RBI.  Alonso now has a five game hit streak.

Will Venable

  • 1 -3 HR (1)

Brad Brach

  • 2IP, 0H, 0ER, 2BB, 1K

    The Bad:

    Andrew Cashner

    • 2/3 IP, 0H, 1ER, 1K, 3BB.  The Padres have played eight games and Cashner has pitched in five of them.  This is a guy that fought through arm issues last season with the Cubs and Buddy is running him out like he has a rubber arm.  Please don’t break Cashner.

      The Ugly:

      Orlando Hudson

  • Hudson has a track record of hot starts, but 2012 is not following that pattern.  After an 0-5 night with two strikeouts, Hudson is now hitting .107 on the season.  Hudson now has a line of .107/.138/.179 on the season.

Clayton Richard

  • 6IP, 6H, 8R, 4ER, 4BB, 4K.  Clayton continues to struggle on the road.

  • 18 Ks on Friday night!  18!  At least if Kershaw was pitching I could tip my hat, but it was Harang.  The Friars lead all of baseball in strikeouts this season, but at least they scored eight runs tonight.

The one year anniversary of Friarhood Radio is tomorrow and we have a great show lined up for you.  Make sure you tune into XTRA Sports 1360 AM at 10am as we are joined by John Coniff of, Chase Headley, Mark Grant, and Josh Spence.
