Yorvit It was reported from Bill Center (here) that Yorvit Torrealba has decided to opt for free agency. After a solid season in San Diego making just $750,000 the 32 year old back stop decided he would decline his $3.5 million option for 2011. Torrealba's first half was fantastic, but it appeared that the veteran catcher lost his legs when the clock struck August.

I wouldn't rule out Yorvit coming back to the Padres after he tests the waters, he may find that the $3.5 million he turned down is close to the going rate. Keep in mind he was coming off a solid season in Colorado when he signed with the Padres for only $750,000.
