Heath Bell was on the Dan Patrick Show this morning, locally heard on XTRA Sports 1360. Some quotes from the interview are below. You can listen to the entire interview here When asked if he thought he would be traded. “Oh yeah, about 99.9% I did” "I don’t know what happened. I don’t know if the asking price was too much. I don’t know if they changed their mind, but if they changed their mind, why didn’t they come to me and kinda tell me” “But, at the end of the day, I’m pretty happy.” Would you sign for two years with an option? "All along I’ve wanted three years. It’s a simple fact if it’s two years with an option, why not put the third year, just guantee it, or make it my option." "They’ve known exactly what I wanted, all year. In spring training I told them what I wanted and they know exactly. Now they are starting to play a cat and mouse game. So, I’m not going to go after the cheese, I guess you could say."
"I’m just going to stay here and wait for them to come to me." On sliding at the All Star Game “When you go play baseball, and you’re that kid that plays in right field and didn’t do anything or sat the bench the whole game. You kinda slide and come home and go, “Mom, I played, see look at the dirt there.”
