Heath BellHEATH BELL TO REPLACE YOVANI GALLARDO ON N.L. ALL-STAR ROSTER

San Diego Padres right-handed relief pitcher Heath Bell has been named to replace Milwaukee Brewers right-handed pitcher Yovani Gallardo on the National League's active roster for the 81st All-Star Game, Major League Baseball announced today.
Because Gallardo made the N.L. All-Star roster as a result of being chosen by N.L. All-Star manager Charlie Manuel, his replacement also was selected by the manager. This will be the second career and consecutive All-Star Game for Bell, who is 4-0 with a 1.72 ERA and 23 saves. With Bell's selection to the N.L. roster, he will no longer be listed as a candidate for the 2010 All-Star Game Final Vote Sponsored by Sprint on MLB.com.

Other announcements regarding the All-Star rosters will be made as they become available.
Complete American League and National League rosters are attached.
The 81st Major League Baseball All-Star Game will be televised nationally by FOX Sports, in Canada by Rogers Sportsnet and Sportsnet HD and Le Reseau des Sports, and around the world by Major League Baseball International, with pregame ceremonies beginning at 8:00 p.m. (EDT)/5:00 p.m. (PDT). ESPN Radio will provide exclusive national radio coverage. MLB Network, MLB.com and Sirius XM also will provide comprehensive All-Star Game coverage.

Excellent News! Way to go Heath! I think it's right that the best closer in the game should be named to the all star team!
