According to MLB.com (via twitter) @FollowThePadres reported on MLBtraderumors.com this afternoon Padres have signed INF Nick Green to a Minor League contract. He will report to AAA-Portland. Green will not be the "big bat" Padre fans. The utility infielder will provide some needed organizational depth. The versatile Greene posts a .237/.305 career line with a steady glove at 2nd, SS, 3rd and even OF on occasion if needed. Green was DFA'd last Saturday by the Blue Jays in order to make room for the returning Shaun Marcum. Full Name: Nicholas Anthony Green Born: Sep 10,1978 in Pensacola, Florida
