After a week of never ending front office news, the news has slowed down considerably. I managed to find some stuff for you though. And happy birthday to Jason Bartlett. Here are your links for the day: Gaslamp Ball takes a look at the "Alvaro Aristy" situation "The Padres met a prospect they liked in the Dominican Republic. At 16, the kid showed enough skills that they figured he would mature into a pretty good major league ball player. Enough that they sign him to a $1 million bonus." "I just don’t know what to think of this latest news, but when Director of Player Personnel Chris Gywnn leaves the Padres for the Seattle Mariners this just doesn’t sit right with me. Sooner or later we will all find out the truth that has been going on behind those office walls in Petco Park." 2012 Roster Projection: San Diego Padres - mlbdailydish.com "I expect the Padres to open 2012 with Jesus Guzman at first base and top prospect Anthony Rizzo in Triple-A. Rizzo doesn't have a whole lot left to learn at that level, but he really struggled in his time with the Padres last season while Guzman thrived. At the very least, they can build up Guzman's value and then trade him when Rizzo is clearly ready."
