It appears that we can put one chapter of the Padres storied history behind us. As one of the articles below will tell you all, the sale from John Moores to Jeff Moorad is nearly complete. This is good news seeing as we can all move on from this and Moorad can put his money to the team. Especially once the television deal becomes complete and we get the money due to us from that as well. To read more on that click on the first link. Here are your links for today: Submit articles and follow me on twitter @M_Rennick Padres’ transfer to Moorad nearly complete – Padres.com “The 100 percent sale of the franchise -- at an estimated $530 million -- that Moores has held since late 1995 is on the agenda for approval by the owners at this Thursday's first joint quarterly meeting of the year.”
This frown’s not turning upside down – Friar Forecast “In fact, Joe Fan is probably already starting to get foggy about the Adrian Gonzalez trade to Boston. As it stands, we just shipped out the centerpiece position player of this deal in Rizzo.” Chicken Friars points out that pitching has been key for the Padres “If the off-season additions of some of the pitching help the Padres acquired can bump the club up in the rankings, I would expect another winning season. If not, they should still improve on 2011?s results.”
