April 9th, 2010 Rockies 7 Padres 0 WP Jorge de la Rosa (1-0) 7 IP 1H 0ER, 0BB, 9K LP Clayton Richard (0-1) 7IP 7H, 3ER, 3BB, 4K The Padres hitters looked completely baffled on the mound against SP Jorge de la Rosa. The Padres only managed to get on base 3 times against the Rockies with a walk by SP Clayton Richard and singles by 3B Chase Headley and SS Everth Cabrera. SS Everth Cabrera had his 2nd fielding error of the season on a throw. RP Sean Gallagher came out for the 8th inning and was tagged for 4 ER with 1K. April 10th, 2010 Padres 5 Rockies 4 WP Tim Stauffer (1-0) 3 IP, 1H, 0ER, 3K LP Manny Corpas (0-1) 2IP, 3H, 1ER, 1BB Colorado struck first in the 3rd inning with a HR by C Chris Iannetta off SP Mat Latos, later in the inning 2B Clint Barmes hit a double and LF Carlos Gonzalez drove him in with an RBI single. The Padres then scored 4 runs in the fourth off a triple by RF Will Venable who drove in 3 runs (Adrian Gonzalez, Kyle Blanks, and Chase Headley). Then SS Everth Cabrera hit a double and got Venable in. Rockies then scored a run in the bottom of the 4th by a solo shot HR by RF Brad Hawpe of Pitcher Mat Latos. In the bottom of the 6th, RF Brad Hawpe hit another solo HR to make the game tied at 4-4 off SP Mat Latos. The game proceeded into extra innings with the Padres winning it in the 14th inning off of a RBI double by 1B Adrian Gonzalez to score 2B David Eckstein. 14 pitchers combined pitched in the game. CF Tony Gwynn Jr. collected his 2nd SB of the season. Heath Bell collected his 2nd Save of the season. April 11th, 2010 Rockies 4 Padres 2 WP Ulbaldo Jimenez (2-0) 6IP, 7H, 2ER, 3BB, 7K LP Jon Garland (0-2) 6IP, 8H, 4ER, 3BB, 3K The Rockies struck first in the 3rd inning off a RBI single by SS Troy Tulowitzski that scored 2 runs. The Rockies then scored again in the bottom of the 4th off a solo HR by C Miguel Olivo off SP Jon Garland. In the 5th inning, the Rockies scored off a RBI single by LF Seth Smith that scored CF Dexter Fowler. The Padres would then score 2 runs in the top of the 6th off a Yorvit Torrealba single and a fielding error by 2B Melvin Mora
