Sharing is Caring
Padres Show Giants “Who’s Your Padre” with a 3-1 victory in the home opener
WP – Aaron Harang (1-0)
LP – Madison Bumgarner (0-1)
Save – Heath Bell (2)

The Good:

Aaron Harang

  • In his return home Harang did not disappoint.  After allowing a run in the first, Harang threw five scoreless innings to finish with six innings pitched, six hits allowed, six strike outs, and one earned run allowed.

Nick Hundley

  • “Hot Rod” with a three hit game extended his hitting streak to four games and is now hitting over .500 for the season.

GAB

  • Three pitchers only allowed two hits and no runs over the final three innings

Cedric Hunter

  • Hunter collected his first major league hit in today’s game.

Padres Fans

  • Padres drew over 43,146 at the game and with the exception of an orange freak or two, it was a very blue and brown
  • crowd.

Rock Bottom Brewery

  • We had an amazing event and filled up the entire upstairs.

The Bad:

Ryan Ludwick

  • 0 for 3 today and 2 for 13 on the season.  I know it is not freak out time, but I am keeping a very close eye on the highest paid offensive player on the team.

Taco Tuesday

  • Our post-game party at Fred’s was a bit out of control and so was the crowd

The Ugly:

Giants Fans

  • I did see some creative and supportive Giants fans, but most of the fans were parading around like Phillies fans.  Far too many were loud and obnoxious, as if they owned the place.  I heard “World Champs” so many times, I think Giants fans were still trying to convince themselves they won.
