Official Press Release courtesy of the San Diego Padres Media Department:

SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Padres announced today they have recalled outfielders Aaron Cunningham from Triple-A Tucson and Blake Tekotte from Double-A San Antonio and optioned left-handed pitcher Wade LeBlanc to Tucson.  Executive Vice President/General Manager Jed Hoyer made the announcement.

Cunningham, 25, is making his second stint with San Diego this season.  The outfielder was previously recalled on June 1 and hit .167 (2-for-12) with one double and two RBI in eight games, two starts, for San Diego before being optioned back to Tucson on June 9.  In 87 games for Tucson this season, he has hit .329 (112-for-340) with 34 doubles, four triples, nine home runs, 63 RBI, 65 runs scored and 38 walks against 54 strikeouts.  Over parts of four Major League seasons with the Oakland Athletics (2008-09) and Padres (2010-11), Cunningham has hit .245 (68-for-277) with 22 doubles, two triples, three home runs, 37 RBI and 30 runs scored in 106 games.

Tekotte, 24, is making his second stint with San Diego this season. He was previously selected from Double-A San Antonio on May 24 and made his Major League debut for the Padres on May 25 against the St. Louis Cardinals at PETCO Park before being optioned back to San Antonio on June 8.  In 10 games for San Diego, he has hit .158 (3-for-19) with one double, one triple, one RBI and one run scored.  In 86 games total for San Antonio this season, the left-handed-hitting outfielder hit .299 (99-for-331) with 25 doubles, two triples, 17 home runs, 55 RBI, 64 runs scored and 31 stolen bases. Tekotte was originally selected by the Padres in the third round of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Miami.

LeBlanc, 26, was recalled from Triple-A Tucson Sunday for this fourth stint with the Padres in 2011.  The southpaw made the start yesterday for San Diego, posting his second quality start of the season for the Padres.  In his last six starts for Tucson, he has gone 4-0 with a 2.61 ERA (11 ER/38.0 IP), a .212 (28-for-132) opponents batting average and 31 strikeouts against nine walks and no home runs allowed.  In 17 starts overall for Tucson this season, he has gone 9-1 with a 4.30 ERA (51 ER/106.2 IP) and 92 strikeouts against 28 walks, leading the team with nine wins.  Originally signed as a second-round selection by the Padres in the 2006 First-Year Player Draft, LeBlanc has gone 12-18 with a 4.55 ERA (119 ER/235.1 IP) in 44 career games, 42 starts, over parts of four Major League seasons, all with the Padres (2008-11).
