SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Padres today released details surrounding 2012 FanFest presented by Bloomberg Sports, including a complete schedule of clinics, forums and autograph signings.

The free annual event returns to Petco Park this Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012. Gates open to the general public at 10:00 a.m. Padres Season Ticket Holders receive exclusive early access from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Season Ticket Holders will be sent printable early entry passes via email.

Fans who are not Season Ticket Holders can pre-register at no cost at www.padres.com/fanfest for a special pass allowing them to enter at 9:30 a.m. In addition to receiving an early entry pass, fans who pre-register online will be entered to win exclusive experiences. Those experiences include a spot in a special autograph session with Padres legend Trevor Hoffman, and a chance to participate in hitting and pitching clinics (for kids 14 and under) with Padres players. Padres Season Ticket Holders will automatically be entered to win these experiences.

FanFest presented by Bloomberg Sports will run until 5:00 p.m. Free parking will be provided in four locations: the three surface lots along Imperial Avenue (southeast side of Petco Park) and the Padres Parkade garage (10th Ave at J St).

Padres players and alumni, broadcasters and members of the front office will be in attendance. Fans will have the opportunity to get autographs, tour the clubhouse, pitch in the bullpen, run the bases and catch fly balls in the outfield.  Also featured will be a kids’ pitching clinic with Clayton Richard and a kids’ batting clinic with Chase Headley.

Padres Vice Chairman and CEO Jeff Moorad, President and COO Tom Garfinkel, Executive Vice President and General Manager Josh Byrnes, players and broadcasters will take part in scheduled fan forums.

In addition, the Padres Foundation will host its annual Garage Sale. This year, the Garage Sale will have an expanded format with a new location: on the field. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase rare, one-of-a-kind Padres items, including game-used jerseys and batting helmets, with proceeds going to the Padres Foundation.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early at FanFest to get their first choice of autograph session vouchers and Garage Sale merchandise. The list of players scheduled to sign autographs includes Yonder Alonso, Jason Bartlett, Andrew Cashner, Chris Denorfia, Yasmani Grandal, Luke Gregerson, Chase Headley, Nick Hundley, Cory Luebke, Cameron Maybin, Clayton Richard, Josh Spence, Huston Street, Tim Stauffer, Joe Thatcher, Will Venable and more. Bud Black, Jerry Coleman, Trevor Hoffman, Randy Jones and Dave Roberts are also scheduled to appear.

Single-game tickets for the 2012 season will go on sale the day of FanFest beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the Petco Park box office, online at www.padres.com and by phone at 619.795.5555. Tickets will also be on sale at three locations inside the ballpark during FanFest, beginning at 8:30 a.m. This will be the first opportunity for fans to secure tickets for the season’s most in-demand games.
