PEORIA, Ariz. – The San Diego Padres today announced they have recalled outfielder Cedric Hunter from Triple-A Tucson.  In addition, the club has optioned left-handed pitcher Wade LeBlanc, outfielder Aaron Cunningham and infielder Everth Cabrera to Triple-A Tucson, reassigned left-handed pitcher Randy Flores, catcher Guillermo Quiroz and infielder Logan Forsythe to minor league camp and placed infielder/outfielder Eric Patterson on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 22 with a strained left hamstring.  The club has also released infielder Oscar Salazar.

Executive Vice President/General Manager Jed Hoyer made the announcements.

Hunter, 23, hit .435 (10-for-23) with four doubles, one triple, one home run, 10 RBI, six runs scored and three walks in 16 games for the Padres this Spring before being optioned to Tucson on March 15.  He was originally selected by the Padres in the third round of the 2006 First-Year Player Draft.
