Padres Rocked in Rubber Game As They Await Rizzo

The Rockies beat the Padres 5-3 to win the series against the two NL West rivals Wednesday afternoon. The loss kept the Padres from moving out of last place and put a damper on an otherwise exciting day in San Diego.

Nick Hundley came back from an oblique injury that had sidelined him since May 5th. But the big news of the day was who traveled on the plane ride from Tucson with him. Top hitting prospect Anthony Rizzo arrived in San Diego today and is expected to start at first base on Thursday against the Nationals. The Padres will play them through Sunday to complete the 11-game home stand. So far they are 4-3 through the first seven games. Below is how they fared against the Rockies over the last three.
