San Diego Avoids Sweep Despite Cold Weather, Bats.

The only thing colder than the temperatures of Wrigley Field on Monday night were the Padres bats with runners in scoring position on Wednesday afternoon.

They stranded 16 Friars that afternoon losing their second extra inning game in as many scheduled dropping a 10 inning affair on Monday.

They were however able to score in the second half of the twin bill, winning 5-4 to avoid the sweep. San Diego will be heading home for a four game series against Philadelphia starting with Mat Latos vs. Roy Oswalt. Here
