Tony Gwynn Passes Away At the Age of 54

The Padres have announced the passing of Tony Gwynn this morning.  Devastating news to not only the Padres fans, but also the baseball world.  Gwynn spent 20 years with the Padres and leads the team is just about every statistical category.  However, he meant a lot more to the city than his 3,141 hits.  He was iconic.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Gwynn as a fan or as a member of the media, yet I still fell like I knew him.  My fondest memory of Tony, was his 3,000th hit in Montreal.  Coleman on the call and Gwynn lines a ball to center field.  As we all mourn the loss of Mr. Padre this week, please share your stories with us as well.
