You Can Help the Latos’ and SNAP on November 12th
Mat and I would like to invite you to join us on Saturday, November 12th at a pet adoption and fundraiser event for the “Spay and Neuter Action Project” (SNAP). The event will take place at the Petco, located at 3994 Clairemont Mesa Blvd from 12- 3pm.
SNAP will be looking for lifetime, loving homes for many deserving pets who are currently in their foster program, the San Diego County, and Chula Vista municipal shelters. If you find a new family member at the event, Mat will be happy to take a photo with you and your new pet (adoptions subject to approval of application to SNAP).
This event is to promote the importance of adopting from shelters and rescues as well as the importance of spay and neutering pets to ensure that every pet born has a wonderful, lifetime home. There are nearly 50,000 animals in San Diego county shelters and rescues annually. SNAP’s driving mission is to make sure that every adoptable and treatable pet finds a forever home and that spay and neutering services are provided at no cost to pet owners who otherwise could not afford it.
All donations received at this event go to SNAP’s “Angel Medical Fund”. This specially designated fund helps great pets that were likely to be euthanized because of shelter over-crowding or because they needed some tender love in foster care before being available for adoption. SNAP’s foster/adoption program is strictly run by volunteers and funded by adoption fees and donations.
Mat will be signing autographs for a $10 minimum donation from 12:00 am to 1:00 pm. If you don’t have anything of your own that you would like signed, pictures and cards will be available for an extra $5 donation.
We will also be raffling a game-used, signed jersey at the event. Tickets will be for purchase from 12-3 and the winning ticket will be drawn at 3 pm participants need not be present to win.
